Distinction for ‘Rounds’ animation by Kinga Su

We are proud to announce the animation Rounds by Kinga Su, which will be exhibited during the upcoming Five Elements artist’s solo exhibition at EXO has won a distinction in the International Digital Art Competition THE ONE in Torun, PL.

In the competition participated 118 artists from 11 different countries. who submitted in total 259 competition artworks. The competition was hosted by Foundation Pinata from Poland, which as a non-governmental organization dedicated itself to the promotion of contemporary art. They undertake creative, artistic and educational initiatives, organize exhibitions, open-air events, meetings, workshops and various art performances. In addition to that, the foundation carries editorial and publishing activities.

The digital art competition meant to raise awareness and present artistic view on our Planet Earth. Most applications were filed by Polish artist, but international reach was represented by artists from United Kingdom, Argentina, China, France, Italy, South Korea, USA, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Israel. Only digital art works were welcomed i.e. digital graphic, digital painting, digital collage, digital drawing, video and sound files.

Jury of the second stage consisted of:

  • dr Jakub Matys (Poland – Institute of Visual Arts, Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce)
  • Gilles Timms (USA – Department of Art, University of Maine)
  • Mykhaylo Barabash (Ukraine – Lviv National Academy of Arts)

They selected 10 works by nine artists that were nominated for awards and distinctions.

The chosen artworks are part of the exhibition which opened on Dec. 15th in Gallery Forum UMK in Torun, PL.

The video Rounds is part of the solo exhibtion taking place at EXOgallery between January 14 and February 25, 2023.
