Notes From Future, an exhibition by Moritz Koch, embarks on a profound exploration of human existence, challenging contemporary societal norms and structures. Through staged photography, Koch creates a distant future where protagonists wander through mystical and enigmatic landscapes.
At first, they seem on the verge of uncovering a hidden conspiracy— a subtle nod to the growing distrust in social institutions and democratic processes. Yet, the true essence of this journey runs far deeper, raising existential questions about the meaning of life and humanity’s relationship with one another.
Visually, the series reflects Koch’s unmistakable style, playing with contrasts between past and future.
Koch’s masterful storytelling immerses viewers in meticulously crafted crime-inspired worlds, seamlessly blending suspense and atmosphere. His gripping narrative style reshapes perception and ignites the imagination, drawing the audience so deeply into these constructed realities that they become part of the scenes themselves.
