Nazanin Noori
Nazanin Noori is a German-Iranian interdisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses installation, sound art, composition, live and lecture performance, direction, and text. With a background in theater, film, and media studies, she explores the intersections of sound, space, sculpture, and postdramatic poetry.
Her work examines religious and media power structures and the ways in which they shape experiences of spirituality, protest, and collective truth. Through her hypnoacoustic compositions, Noori has developed a distinctive sonic language she describes as āAmbient Hardcoreā. Since 2016, she has created compositions for theater and art films, alongside sound works and performances presented internationally.
